हुम्ला : यूनेस्को रिपोर्ट्स

Humla is the highest, the most remote and northerly situated region of Nepal. Sie lies on the border to Tibet, China's autonomous province. Simikot is the downtown of Humla, which is accessible only by foot or by airways due to the lack of paved roads.

Life for the Humli people is challenging, summer in these high mountain valleys is usually short and the winter is long and severe. Most of the people are farmers, who work very hard to win the bread amid the region’s difficult, though extraordinarily beautiful terrain. This mountainous landscape with high peaks cut through by green valleys, turbulent rivers and forests of rhododendrons teaming with wildlife and featuring Hindu and Buddhist temples, shrines and religiously sacred places make trekking in the region an extremely rewarding and rejuvenating experience.
